Glenfinnan Monument

Shot of the monument erected in 1815 to commemorate the Jacobite rebellion of 1745 led by Bonnie Prince Charlie. Unfortunately, many parts of the Highlands were laid waste by Prince William following the defeat at Culloden. The "Bonnie Prince" made it back to the Continent leaving his loyal supporters behind to be hunted down. The gaps in the darkening clouds producing several sunbursts which helped the atmosphere of the shot
