Yes, this is only a cub, circa 18 months old but bigger than the average man already and looking the part as the apex predator in Kanha.
3 cubs were on view at various points in this encounter. The mother kept her head down, doubtless watching from the undergrowth.
In complete contrast to our 1st tiger encounter near dawn when only our jeep was present, this turned into a bit of a scrum with circa 15 jeeps showing up before the cubs tired of the jabbering humans jammed in jeeps on a narrow jungle track on two sides of them. The tigers were dignity personified in comparison.
