Gaur are the largest wild cattle in the world.
A full grown male like this one can weigh up to 700kg....
They are generally social animals. We did see a herd on one occassion though we found this bull wandering about solo at dusk one evening. He could easily turn over a jeep if the fancy took him.
NB the white eyes were caused by reflections from my camera's flash (note I did not try the flash on the tiger which we saw in similarly poor light at dawn!).
